Oh well well, have we come this far in our discussion on the MBA and business schools? Talking about number of applications in each round and the strategy to be followed, mean that the GMAT part of the b-school admission has been taken care of. Is it really so?
Nevertheless, the main agenda for this post is to contemplate the ideal number of MBA applications in each round and the basis for such decision. What is the guiding force that prompts you to send four, five or may be six applications in each round?
The number of applications you send out in round 1, round 2 and round 3 depends upon a lot of factors.
Basically, you must try to get acceptance maximum by round 2 because waiting till round 3 would mean losing out on a lot of financial aid opportunities. Moreover, the maximum college seats in the most of the colleges are filled out by round 2 itself. However, that does not mean that you shouldn’t try your luck for a very good college in the final round if you feel confident about making it there, based on the successes gained in the previous rounds.
