From etattva to skill-guru

My first company as an entrepreneur was etattva back in 2003 in Noida, India.  It was a company which started with the concept of providing training to college students or freshers who have zero exposure or very little exposure to real world development. Our focus area was Java/J2EE

Much of the credit of running this company goes to my wife who ran it full time while I supported her after my regular job. My brother was also an early supporter and he also helped us lot during our initial days.

When we moved to South Africa then back to India and then to US , we could not keep etattva running. So we thought of trying on line training . But that was not successful.

Then I thought of creating a software where people would come in and can give mock test. This idea gave birth to the current SCJP mock exams we have on etattva.

Now after 2 years  have some other plans of how this could be turned into an much better platform and with this vision launched skill-guru .

I am hoping this would be a fun idea to try with. How it really goes , we will only know after couple of years.

Thanks for the kind words Wali. You were one of the early students and we were on a learning curve. We could not give that much time to you as we should have.
But you were one of the few students I had seen who had taken the initiative to learn and try new stuff. The hard work has paid off for you but never stop the quest for knowledge. You have some great potential hidden inside you.

Its a great effort and you surely have been a role model for me all these years. You were the first one who gave me the clarity of layered architecture. BTW i still have those papers where you explained me the stuff.

Etattva has surely matured over period of time. Am sure there will be a long list of people who got benefited from the same.

@Vaibhav — I have seen your hard work dude. I saw you setting up Linux systems in office.

I have read the blogs here and its quite informative. :)

    Great Going!
